I hate the cold, where should I look for an accounting internship?

After living in the midwest and northeast for 20 years, I can honestly say I have had enough of the snow and cold. It would be nice if I could go outside with just a t-shirt and shorts for more than 4 months out of the year. However, I also don't want to be boiling in 110 degree heat half of the year either. What kind of places should I be thinking of moving to? I was thinking of California or the Pacific Northwest, but I hear each has significant downsides.

San Diego, but only if you have cash out of your ass. Although, tbh, nows your chance to cash in on failing real estate.

Come to Australia, heaps of accounting opportunities are available here. Get in contact with one of those companies that specialises in getting people internships.

is this thread about accounting or the weather?

if you're looking for an accounting internship, go public. If your grades are good, I'd try to go big-4 if you can.

It's about finding an accounting internship in a place with reasonable weather. My grades are good and I have some pretty nice leadership experiences, so I'd think I'd be competitive in any internship program.

San Diego and Hawii would be really nice, but I just don't think I'll have the finances to live well there for quite few years. I'd rather build up a nice nest egg before moving to some place really expensive.

Basically anywhere you are going to find the great opportunities, say with a Big 4 it's going to be in a metropolitan area which will equal expensive. as long as they pay you enough.
