i live in california and i like newegg. but, i have to pay tax if i order it from newegg would it be cheaper to order it from somewere else or from newegg.

Yeah. You'll save an F'ING TRUCKLOAD of money - and not just on sales tax from Newegg.
 
I live in California, I like Newegg, and I pay the tax because it isn't 9% in Fresno yet. I am considering Monarch for some things later on, though.

ya CA is pretty bad alot of mean people i came from AZ and i can notice alot more mean people. i dont mind it though 😀

9.25% in Western NY...

The state says I have to submit the sales tax for items I purchase outside of NY that aren't taxed....
But, if I go to PA and purchase something and have to pay sales tax on it, then I don't have to pay the tax in NY.

Doesn't make sense. How is an out of state taxed item non-taxable in NY, but an out of state item that's not taxed IS taxable in NY?!
The day they'll return the tax to PA residents on things they don't have to pay tax for is the day I'll consider sending in the tax on such items.

Tax here is 7.25% and we just voted down an increase in November.
