OP, I'm with ya. I also hate the snow...and the cold.
After a couple of winters in western Wyoming, I was happy to move to Kahleeforneeya. Here, IF I want to see snow, it's only a 2 hour drive, but so is the ocean.
I ca drive in snow...grew up in it, learned to drive in it, have driven everything from trucks, tractor-trailers, and large cranes in the stuff, even went to the Bridgestone Winter Driving School one winter...woo-hoo!

Snow CAN be a lot of fun...but playing in it and living in it are two different things...especially if you work outside like I did most of my life.
This morning, here in northern Kahleeforneeya, it's F-O-G-G-Y...visibility is less than 1/4 mile at best, a few miles down the road, (near Fresno) it's down to less than 1/8 mile.
I guess that's one thing I liked better about the snow...for the most part, you can see what's in front of you...you may not be able to stop to avoid the crash...but at least you can see what you're gonna crash into...
Fucking idiots here drive 70 mph+ in fog so thick they can't see the end of the hood...then we have 100+ car pile-ups on the freeway.
