Simple Timeline:
6/6 - Guy in Phoenix contacts me via AIM and wants to buy my car (see sig). At that time he paypals me $100 as a deposit. He would then come in person to complete payment and pick it up.
6/6 --> 6/11 - Guy and I talk daily. I answer his questions and we figure out how the transaction will be completed, etc. On 6/11 he says he will drive in on 6/14 and we will do the deal 6/15. That was the last time I heard from him.
6/12 --> Present - Still haven't heard from the guy. I left two or three voicemails with and haven't gotten any replies. Guy is not on AIM anymore nor does he respond to my emails.
At this point, I say the guy has flaked. I wasted a week of my time holding the car when there were others (local) emailing and asking about it. Luckily, a guy at the office still wants it so we've agreed to terms. But really, why give me $100 and then flake? Are you just too damned embarassed to ask for your money back or to even tell me? Sheesh.
EDIT: For those who don't know I'm in LA.
