I hate school

The thing is, if I did want to go to a good college, say MIT, I would have to work my arse off, and the way things are going I could just give up right now and forget about everything.

That's not true, I know 2 people who took high paying IT jobs 6 months out of HS, you gotta know your stuff though. I personally took time off college to join a .com, I'm getting my AA now, but I'm probably not going for a 4 year, joining a company after this quarter.

I find it hard to beleive that your friends got high paying IT jobs straight out of HS, with NO previous experience in a full time position, and no education or certifications...
