Player immediately "suspended" from the league for life. Good! We need to see more swift, decisive action from league officials like that in the US (in a few cases).

EDIT: I didn't realize that this was so old at first, but that in no way changes how I feel about players who assault someone while they're playing a game.

Somehow I don't think the players flapping their sweaty jerseys in the direction of the ref is going to do much for him, unless they're trying for the smelling salt effect.
