I hate quicktime

You think that's bad: Realplayer is MUCH more worse.

At least I don't seem to have anymore problems with quicktime, doesn't crash as often as ghey ol' Real

I just use the codecs for realplayer and quicktime in WMP... no stability issues here.

EDIT: Link for the unenlightened: Text

the instability comes when you have quicktime playing like movie trailers in the browser... I hate that

Yeah, RealPlayer is total garbage, I actually run a third party app that plays all other file formats so I don't need to use either of those craptastic apps.

Yeah, the plugin is garbage. The only thing worse is Acrobat's plugin. I'm talking in the IE world.

Realplayer works fine here. I actually prefer to watch movies in realplayer than any other player

WMP is ok but the interface is not good. Quicktime 7, I havent had problems with.

I use Real alternative. Freeware replacement. As for quicktime, I don't like how it puts itself in startup every time its used (I take it back out of startup often).

I agree, ie never crashes unless its acrobat or quicktime taking it down
