Today the inevitable happened. I couldn't hold it in much longer. So I had to go to a public restroom. Not only does it smell, is very dirty, and shit load of people walk around you which makes me very uncomfortable, but the toilet paper is so thin that it doesn't really do anything. I was wiping my ass for at least a good 20 minutes. At home takes me less than 3 min when I use the wipes and high quality toilet paper. I also don't understand how people can be so messy? I mean the shit I've seen in public restrooms, turds on the ground, on the toilet seat, how hard is it to aim turds into the toilet?! Seriously...

lol I'm with you. Especially public restrooms in actual public places like fast food joints. I don't get why people feel a need to totally destroy them with poop. At least the bathrooms in the workplace that are only used by employees tend to be semi clean though.

I also cannot pee in the open if someone is around, I don't know why. I've always been that way. I hate public bathrooms just for that, especially if I go on a trip to the south where they are super busy and there's line ups and stuff. I could never live in a big city just for that. At least here if I go to a public bathroom chances are nobody is in it.

If there is a lot of people around me, I can't pee in those urinals too.

the trick is to have designated drop zones. Don't be afraid to go into a nice store, just to poo. Kohls usually have acceptable bathrooms, Target almost never. Never in a restaurant. Only one of the stalls at work is acceptable.

I'm a bit OCD...

It is better than pooping behind the bushes and wiping your ass with dried leaves.

Pretty much this. And if in a multi-storied campus building, always pick the bathroom on the top floor and most distal to traffic. The education building here has a lock bathroom with scent bottles, women's magazines, two types of soap, hand lotion, plastic foliage, and all sorts of other goodies. The engineering building's bathroom right next to the computer labs routinely has shit in the middle of the floor and stalls with ~one inch gaps between the hinges.

Kohls is pretty good, Best Buy also. Dillards is pretty nice and has always been spotless.

I find Target to be hit or miss.

No I would do that instead, except its really cold out here right now.

In my experience, the worst place to use the public restrooms are in Bus stations and Railway stations in India. I swear.. there is nothing more disgusting and repulsive than the sight and smell of those restrooms. Just thinking about them makes me shudder.

I see what you did there. :sneaky:

Speaking of bathroom, home depot has pretty decent bathrooms. They have a somewhat private one with stalls and stuff, and they have one half way through the store right in the isle, for those that don't really care to do it in the open. I don't know if it's standardized but in our home depot it's near where the bathtubs and other washroom stuff is.

Every time I stop by Hooters I steal a bunch of wet naps.

Makes public toilets less disgusting.

You could always get a gender change. The ladies have far nicer ones!

having had jobs where I've had to clean women's restrooms....this is a lie

When I was a manager at a fairly large electronics store, part of my nightly duties was to make sure no one was still in the crapper. I saw more nastiness in the women's room than ever in the men's.

So I had the stock guys clean the women's room last thing every night. I took extreme joy in lighting up a smoke and pooping in there after the store was closed.

I remember cleaning the washrooms at my high school when I got a summer janitorial job. And yeah I can confirm this. I was actually surprised as I did figure they were much cleaner.

Nothing like a crusty old tampon sticked to the wall, and lipstick graffiti embedded deeply into the pores of painted cinder block.

Though, the guys bathrooms were more notorious for unflushed toilets, but hey, us guys are proud of our poops, and when it's a good one, you want people to see it. Though it's not as impressive when it's been sitting there for a month. What gets me dumfounded when I see a poop still in the toilet though is, did the person actually poop and not wipe?
