I moved in June, closed my Peco account...apparently they didn't get the memo (or didn't mark it down in their system that I called them). I have mail forwarding set up to my new address, they never mailed me another bill, so I assumed all was well....until I received a letter and mulitple phone calls this week from a collection agency! Addressed to my NEW address, not forwarded!
So I just called customer service, he said he had no record of my moving out, so its not their fault, I'm still liable, etc. I told them that's ridiculous, I called them to cancel, there is no way I'm paying for electricity I didn't use. He said they'll "make a note of it" and asked for my new contact information.
Now....
A) Why didn't they cancel my account
B) Why didn't they mail me a bill if they didn't cancel the account, the rest of my mail got forwaded here
C) Where did the collection agency get my current address, before today I never gave it to Peco
D) Does 'they'll make a note of it' mean they're going to stop calling me
ugh...I hate you Peco.
