i currently am working at a batting cage (i have no interest in any kind of sport what so ever)

i make 7 dollars an hour and there seems to be no chance for raise at all (i've been there since june)

im not really looking for a job in the computer industry yet (although it would be nice) i just need a job some place other than there.

i currently have an interview at fleet farm...... i guess there is light at the end of the tunnel

Pizza delivery. With about $3 average per delivery, take about 15 drives a night, work 5 days a week... well who cares how big the paycheck is, you've got a wad of cash in your pocket.

If the rage burns hot enough, perhaps you could take up a sword and begin a campaign of global domination? If your cause is just, and your heart true, then you should find little difficulty in marshalling forces to your banner.

I have to agree here. I delivered pies in college and in sh!t job terms it really can't be beat. It's the best worst job I ever had.

Silence. There isn't enough room on earth for more than one all-conquering army, and mine is already forming.

From the qualifications and background listed (working at a batting cage), it seems that you can apply just about anywhere that doesn't require a degree. Go do it!

Do you have a degree that'll get your foot in somewhere? If not, figure out what you want to do (or apprentice somewhere and see if you like it) and see what education you might need... then, go do it!

Good luck.

I was about to start a thread like this.

I can't afford to quit...at all. Most jobs i'm qualified for that are hiring, don't pay as well as this one. I'm paycheck to paycheck. but....i feel sick coming into work in the morning. I can't handle it anymore. I don't know what to do. :(

the biggest mistake any college student going into computers can make is not doing internships (paid or not) related to the computer field. This is vital when employers are looking at your resume. It's not about grades... it's about real work experience.

Do the internships... paid or not. Even if it's 3 hours a day. Get it on your resume. You've been warned.

I deliver pizzas and it's great. I get tons of money at the end of the night, and I get in a lot of strange situations. I see all over the city and all kinds of people. Most of time time it's involves just handing them the pizza and them handing you the money, but even that isn't bad because you get to drive your own car and listen to your own music while getting paid.
