i used to use icq. simple. clean. i liked it a lot. then everyone started using msn, and i was forced to convert. msn looks like it was made for elementary school children. OMG HI2U!~!~ gross. its bubbly. its huge. its horrible. ive been trying to get by with trillian for a while now, which looks good sure, but too bad half the messages i send arent recieved... piece of crap.

so what to do? are there programs that can completely reskin messenger to look nice? trillian alternatives that dont suck?

oh yeah. i also want to be able to sort by groups... AND hide the offline ones. is that too much to ask? *cry*
 
the newer icq's suck. i liked icq99 and earlier. it just got more and more cluttered from 2000 and up. just use trillian.
 
Hey talk about MSN I was about to ask a question in a new thread.

If you block someone on MSN does it do the block at the MSN servers? I remember when using ICQ there were hacks or other clients (back in the day) that would show people who put you on invisible.

I want to block a few people in particular on MSN but don't want them to know I'm blocking them and really online.
 
when did everyone switch to MSN? everyone i know went from ICQ- AIM and have been on AIM sence then, i actually dont know anyone that uses MSN

Same here, I only use MSN when someone I meet is assbackwards and still uses it 😛
