I hate moving...

They seriously need to invent star trek-like transporters already. I'm sick of loading my crap onto a truck and then unloading it all over again.

Moving isn't fun for anyone. Why'd you and the wife decide to move? Is the location better where you are moving? Focus on the good aspects about where you are moving and remind yourself that this is just another of life's experiences. 😀

I think I've qualified as having too many "life experiences".

doing the same in a few months.... but i havent moved in over 20yrs...

isnt moving tax deductible... actually i think it is if your job made you move...

The best thing about moving is paying someone else to do it for you. I hate even packing up for moving. I hate unpacking. I pretty much hate everything about moving and if there's any way I can pay someone else to do it, I will.

Last week I helped my friend stay put. It's a LOT easier than helping someone move. You just sit around, and make sure that he does not start to load sh!t into a truck.

Can you have "too many" life experiences? We learn a little from each one, so I think the more you have the better adjusted you are to deal with situations and life in general. I don't think you can have too many! 🙂

I hope that the rest of the move goes great! 😀

They already came up with a solution. Buy a mobile home, and just move it when you need to change locations. 😉

Way to answer the question.

I'm betting this whole ordeal is your doing, eh?

My wife's been harping about buying another house for 20 years. Heh, I'm still here. Not so concerned about moving, as I am about having higher bills, or less convenient location. If it ain't broke...

I am definately getting a mover for my next move. I nearly killed myself trying to get my couch into my apartment. I has reclining seats on both ends so the thing is supper heavy. Also, my big screen tv won't fit into my elevator.

Since the age of 3 i've not stayed in one place for more than 2 years. My dad was in the army, and until i was 16 i travelled around the uk, germany and cyprus every couple of years. Then when i went to college i moved around then, then moved to germany to work, lived in 3 different cities in 4 years. I've since moved to the US.

I even groan now when my wife wants me to help her move furniture. I just want everything to stay where it was.

Even now my wife is thinking about moving to either california or the uk next year, fun fun

I helped several people move last year and I am done for a while. The worst was a friend that moved out of a second floor apt into a third floor apt in another building with no AC, in Illinois, in July.

Just burn your house down and use the insurance pay off to buy new furniture. They will usually throw in deliverly for free.

That's crap. I don't think that's allowed. I suggest you review your friend contract, seems you are owed additional compensation to me.
