I hate Maximo.

I had to do some work on a corrective action, which we use Maximo for. Now all of the information has disappeared from every CAR my department has ever written. Now I have to write a CAR on the CAR system. Fuck me.
 
Yeah, I would expect that. Our company just implemented it and our company has a bad habit of picking the worst software from any selection.
 
We use it at my work and I want to hang whomever choose this from their toes!

I actually report my mileage about 3 different ways a month: Monthly reporting, anytime I purchase gas, and anytime we preform maintenance (oil change, buying windshield wipers, etc). Now all these go into different systems, one being Maximo, and I received a notice that my vehicle was set to be surplussed because I had not reported mileage in over 12 MONTHS!!!

So apparently I have to report it to a fourth system or they sell my truck!

Stupid government.
 
Since we've been on the topic of hating IT lately, I also really love it when the Maximo Support Group takes several days to get back to you.
 
It probably does take time to translate what the level 1 IT guy wrote. His summary is not even close to what I said. Dear god.
Nice to see nothing has changed. I had a key piece of software I used that I had little control over. The support was bad when it was in the states because nobody understood the software. When the support went to China, I had to stop calling. It was an exercise in futility.

SAP hit the scene shorty thereafter.
 
This is hilaaaarious. I have created a massive shitstorm. Apparently it's a good idea to update software without informing the only department in the company that has a regulatory requirement for a corrective action program. People be angry.
