I hate it so much, I can't play w/ my wife who loves the game. Just got the new mario bros. wii......

I can't even pretend to like it, i despise it that much. Take that back, I just don't enjoy it at all.

Am I alone? I feel like I'm lost on an island

My wife and I have played this game non-stop for the last week. Its the most fun we've had together - video game wise.

I played Donkey Kong a couple times way back when it was available on Intellivision. Never really liked video games until the first person shooters came out (Captain Atari arcade game being the first I can remember). We picked up Ray Man cheap. That was cute but basically a Donkey Kong remake.

TBH I prefer Mario 3 and super mario world to any of the Marios that have come out since. The new wii one is decent though, but I enjoy the old ones better. It would be awesome of they redid the old ones but with a whole new world. Use the same engine and all, just different world and different levels.

I agree. I never liked the Mario games. I played the original on NES as a kid. I remember thinking, "Shit, when are games going to get better."

They're better now thankfully.

Got up to 1/2 way through world 7. I must say, the helicopter gadget makes it soooo awesomely easy. Very frustrating moments on world 5 though w/ the boss, that was too damn difficult considering how easy theo ther worlds are.

I'm with OP on this one. My wife has been playing quite a bit since I got it for her for xmas and I can safely say it's not a game I'd willingly play. I LOVE videogames, but hate the tedious jumping sidescroller games.
