I've been playing a lot of golf this week, and had just bought some new spikes. Well, they weren't quite broken in yet, and as a result, I have blisters all over my feet. Not fun.

My mom always told me the best way to treat a blister was to pop it with a sterile needle. So, I take a needle from one of those sowing kits that comes with a suit, and try to sterilize it by heating it with a match.

Long story short, I burned my hand and now have blisters on my right hand as well as on my feet. Doh!

:(

You could have always just put the needle into some isopropyl alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to sterilize it...

Does it actually make it worse? I was going to finish the job before I went to bed, at least when you get all the fluid out they don't hurt whenever you bump them just slightly.

Not unless you get them infected, no.

And yeah, getting rid of the pressure relieves pain.

Please do tell, Dr Excelsior, what is the best treatment? I've read popping blisters does not help anything.

So where was your mom?
You mean they let 13 yr olds play golf unsupervises?

I'm 17. Not that I see what that has to do with anything.

He just has some obsession with 12-13 year olds.
