I hate IDIOT EBAY BIDDERS.

I think for a most of those idiots it's about winning the auction, not getting a deal.

Well, i guess if i were selling, i'd like these idiots.

I just lost a bid on a compaq 36.4 gb uw3 80 Pin SCSI HD. 🙁 my max bid was 182, it went for like 334.00.

it's not that bad, i won on an IBM 36.4 gb uw3 80 Pin SCSI HD last night for like $172.00 so that was sweet. basically this idiot bidder came in and bid it up and paid 2x what i paid last night for virtually the same drive.

*shrug* It's Ebay...whaddya expect? I had to chuckle last week when a tee time I was bidding on got driven through the roof by stupid bidders. The guy that "won" ended up paying more than it would be to just pay the regular greens fee at this particular course.

If any of them had brains, they'd just leave all the auctions alone and snipe like crazy when they were about to end in order to not drive the price up.

Uh.. Okay. :Q

I can't really relate, because I don't buy new things on ebay, I use it for antique and hard to find things.. So.. We have strategies to make sure we get the item.. like bidding a minute before it ends. 😉

I have been beaten out of an auction with 1 second left, though. That sucked.

That's OK. You should see what they pay for an OEM copy of Office SBE. It can be had for 171 on the net, yet these idiots pay as much as $220 for it.

I gave up trying to find a deal on anything there.

ya auctions sites have never been good for bargains. i think i did ok last night w/ my IBM SCSI drive, but i really wanted the compaq tho, cause i have 2 exactly like the one i lost out on.

oh well will see how it raids w/ 2 compaqs and 1 ibm.

i never go into bidding wars on ebay, because it's survival of the dumbest in that case. your only luck finding a deal on ebay is if you search far back in the results, and find a good deal on a buy it now auction. for example: last week i got a PS2 with GTA3, GT3, MGS2, Batman Vengeance, Klonoa 2, and a memory card for $400 shipped.

like i said. I got a good deal last night on an IBM HD. Basically same drive as i was bidding on today but at half the price and lower than i could find here on fs/ft forum after doing a pretty thorough search.

it's just these idiots that bid to win and not to get a good deal that annoy me.

Why do you hate them? No one's forcing them to bid or anything...

OK is it me or did that make NO SENSE whatsoever. How does "No one's forcing them to bid or anything" have ANYTHING at all to do with "Why do you hate them"??

I hate them because they take away the possibility of me getting a bargain. it's not even like they BENEFIT from it. they could have bought that item anywhere for that price. it isn't a difficult item to find. They just bid themselves out of decent pricing and went to HIGH pricing.

If i were the seller, yes, i'd love them for it and if i were that seller i'd be posting here to tell you how well i did because someone was stupid.
