Remember, it is a game. You can still win, but you have to change you strategy. Or cheat (use alchohol). :)

<< Why do they have to screw with your head? Why can't I just maintain control of my emotions? AHH NO CONTROL >>

Its because you're probably too nice. My little advice to you is show you're independent too by missing a date with her or arrive really late, don't call her up so routinely, etc. She'll either leave you or she'll start being nicer to you if she really likes you.

i hate getting my head screwed up but I still can't help it

IMO its better being screwed in the head than being alone

in the end if you meet a nice, attractive, intelligent girl that feels the same way about you its all worth it

My girlfriend of over 3 years broke up with my last July. I'm still not over her. I know where you're at :(

Stop worrying about her. "Plz just let me figure things out, ok! I will give u another chance just not now" F**K THAT. Get some self-respect man. Get on with your life.

Game over buddy. You've lost control in this relationship. You should've said "If not now then no thanks". She has lost respect for you as a man. Even if you get back together, it won't last.

These words are harsh, but it's better to move on and suck it up. I wish someone had told me this when I was young.

Exactly what I meant to say. Move on, for if not you'll look back regretfully.

take a break from it.
dont talk to her.
go out with your friends.

take some time to figure out that you are worth more than the games.

yes it will hurt.

but the day you realise that she cant hurt you anymore is so worth it.

its just a girl.
we're a dime a dozen.

*kat. <-- knows where its at.

edit: okay we are more than a dime a dozen but i mean like, there are lots of girls out there, dont put up with crap from one or else.

Oh jeez. I really don't mean to bash you, Flat, but this thread is making guys around the world wince. I'm not going to pretend that I'm a god when it comes to relationship advice, but the truth of the matter is Hugo Chavez said it best: "One does not show weakness in front of his wife." (Well, replace wife with whatever...)

There is always some element of a power struggle in relationships and you have utterly, completely, spectacularly lost all the power you had. This is just one man's opinion, but I frankly think it's time to move on - don't even dream about getting back together at this point. You've made yourself out to be far too much of a puke for her to ever want back. Get yourself some self-respect, prostrate in front of noone, male or female. Nobody is worth that kind of hit to your self-respect.

d00d.... I'm go'in through the same thing right now... and damn does it suck. It sucks pretty damn bad. I can't even begin to explain the horrible sh!t that I'm go'in through now.... I feel for ya man.... and the worse thing is when you feel like this and it seems like they pretty much don't even care.

Perhaps you aren't considering his point of view. It sounds so simple just to take a break from it, doesn't it? Just like that right?

Wrong.

I think the main thing women need to get control of is that guys, even though insensetive and thickheaded at points have very real, very active emotions. Depending on Flat's situation, he could have a wide variety of things that he feels for this girl that aren't easy just to "take a break from". Sometimes the knowedge of being with a person, being that significant other, can alone calm a enraged mind.

very well put... but seriously I've found really only one thing that helps at times like these.... just surround yourself with your friends. Your friends will be the ones who will best be able to calm what you think about your g/f. I'll have this thing in the back of my mind for my ex for a long damn time but just talking w/ someone else, not about her, but just about anything will make you feel sooo much better. It will be hard for some time but don't worry... you'll feel hella better w/o even knowing it.

<< On behalf of my gender then, I invite you to cross to the other side. There are surely some nice young men who'd like to date you and who won't screw with your head (since they're guys, and we all know guys never play games). >>

I would rather have someone screwing with my mind than my a$$!!

Geez... it's one of those unsolved mysteries... why the flying freak do women have to mess with guys?
I even had some girls tell me that they did it on purpose too when I described a similar situation to one of my galpals. Kinda glad she did though... but I still cried like a baby. :(
I sucked... ended one of my deepest friendships/relationships in college. Took me about 6 months to get over it... and then some.

Thanks Pyonir! You hit it real hard! ;)

I still giggle when I see guys referring to every female as "girls". The irony there is, it is usually this guys who whine about "girls" and have the biggest problem with women.

When they start to differentiate between girls and women, then we'll know they've matured and can find a real woman. ;) :D

Ok, Flat, so . . . you hate "girls": Why do you waste their precious time, then? [Sarcasm:] There are many attracted to same-sex out there!

Also, how do you expect to luv "girls" and have a great relationship when you can't differentiate between "girls" and "women" and when you seem to be the absolutely submissive, crybaby kind of guy who has the girl controlling him?

You're mean. :p Flat, you go hang out with some friends for a while. Live your life as an individual, not with your whole self based on this girl. Whether or not you get back together, this is an opportune time to remind yourself of who you are.

I just love it. The ATOT women come in and tell him suck it up and just take that break from it all. However, if the situation were the other way around and we had some woman crying about breaking up with her boyfriend the reaction would be quite the opposite.
