You can't outbid by a penny.... there's a minimum increment to the bids.
(unless maybe someone has a proxy bid and you happen to guess how much it is and go 1 cent over)

according to my sources, that is not really CHEAP. It would be a decent deal if it is in a high quality condition, but definitely not Cheap.

I'll bid on an auction on day 1 all the time. I bid what I want to pay (usually a big discount off what I would have to pay locally). If someone snipes me for the minimum amount to raise the bid, then they wanted it more than me.

I haven't been on for a year (seller) or two (buyer), but I've been registered over 5 years, I've sniped been sniped and bid early. I do what ever I feel like doing so deal with it 😛

If I see something I want I usually bid early but at a low price simply so I can track it, but sometimes not it depends.
