I have spent countless minutes upon minutes cycling thru the menus only to give up. I swear they do it on purpose.

This is why you should have gotten a Gateway ;)

BTW - tonnes of people have been complaining about Dells Customer Service, do a search.

Can't you just press 0 and talk to a rep? I've used it in other call in services and it worked.

I don't see why you would, all of their parts are retail items. Not to mention it's MUCH easier to get to one of their service reps than Dell,.

True for the most part. A lot of their PSU's are proprietary and some of their mobo's. Everything else is off the shelf.


I think most all the OEM computers are mostly off the shelf nowadays.

but i've read somewhere that dell is like #1 in customer service.
