no, i've heard of people who ordered on the 4th and have already gotten their monitor . ..

and like goosemaster, they still havn't charged my account!! :|

the thing is, their phone menu is SO TOUGH to navigate!!

EDIT: plus, i dont have the time, because i already made a schedule and starting tomorrow, im studying for finals (i have finals late, end of january)

2. My bro ordered a 1.8 GHz lappy and a 120 GB usb hard drive
Email agreement comes for a 1.4 GHz proc
Takes 4 days to get in touch with the sales guy
80 gig usb hard drive arrives... sent back
finally gets in touch with sales guy to straighten out the proc speed
bro is assured 1.8 ghz will come
lappy arrives... 1.4 ghz
he's pissed
all over the course of 2 weeks thus far... almost 3 now

Sometimes on those ridiculous phone menus, if you push 0, it will put you right into the queue to talk to a representative. I don't know if I've tried it before with Dell, but it has worked for me with other companies (most recently FedEx).

2005FPw:

Let's see, the delay is probably due to the fact that they are currently manufacturing your monitors. My order for a 2005FPW is in the same situation.

So why am I not complaining like you guys? Well if you know anything about the 2005FPW situation, Dell's first builds (Rev A00) had horrible backlight-leakage problems. Their second build (Rev A01) corrected most of the backlight-leakage complaints (I say most because I've seen one or two people complain about their Rev A01, but most say they are perfect).

With that in mind, I'm happy to know that whatever monitor I recieve will *most likely* be a brand new build.

At least they let you know that your order is delayed and they did not charge your account either. This is better than what some companies would do.

Best thing to do when calling is press the button for "Place a New Order". Those calls get answered immediately. WHy waste time with people who have alreayd placed the order when they can make more money by talking to the people who want to place a new order...

THen of course once you get the person, see if they can just help you...

those are often wrong, i got 15 days when i ordered my lcd but it shipped next day
