Nothing.

This thread has to do with just how my day sucks and I am complaining. People just jumped on the title, though, which is fine.

Me too....I'm probably going to have time to fix my lawnmower tonight and mow the lawn. :( I'd much rather it be nice and dark so I can play bf2 instead.

cause of the farmers, mang.
That is a myth. DST has nothing to do with farmers. A farmer's schedule is dictated by the sun, not by the clock.

Absolutely true. Farmers HATE DST because the animals nor the crops observe any changes in their schedules other than due to the sun.

"I don't really care how time is reckoned so long as there is some agreement about it, but I object to being told that I am saving daylight when my reason tells me that I am doing nothing of the kind. I even object to the implication that I am wasting something valuable if I stay in bed after the sun has risen. As an admirer of moonlight I resent the bossy insistence of those who want to reduce my time for enjoying it. At the back of the Daylight Saving scheme I detect the bony, blue-fingered hand of Puritanism, eager to push people into bed earlier, and get them up earlier, to make them healthy, wealthy and wise in spite of themselves." -- Robertson Davies

My feelings exactly!

less traffic on the way home because the sun is higher and not blinding the crap out of everyone, it's sunny when I get out of the gym after work, and either way it's still light out when I get up for work.

Uhh... during regular time, I get out of work just as the sun goes down. So with DST the sun will be up and blinding people.

sucks first week, then gets much better :)

i love having sun till 9 (middle of summer)

With this global warming, it is 100 degrees until 9 PM and the AC is going on like mad even at 9 PM. I wish they would do away with it too.

i hope my scarcasm meter is broken.

Nope, this is the exact reason why Arizona rejects DST.

It may have made sense in the World wars, and even the 60s, before air conditioning was widespread. But the cost of cooling your home for one extra hour in the evenings FAR outweighs the energy benefits of not having to use yout lights as much.

Stupid, stupid idea.

You do realize that there are still 24 hours in a day right?

Exactly...choose one and stick with it. I hate the week or two it takes for my body to adjust to the time change. And that goes for both "daylight" and "standard". :|

uhh ... obviously i don't or else i wouldn't have posted that?

the sun is right at the level that it causes people to slow down because they can't see so it causes major traffic. now it's much higher so it's not directly in the eyes.

if you lived anywhere near I495 around the DC metro area (in the top 3 for worst traffic in the country i believe) then you would know what i'm talking about, but you obviously dont.

before daylight savings time, the sun was actually almost up when i woke up for work at 530.

now it's dark. :(

i like being able to be out at night and drive while it's still light out, but it sucks waking up when it's still dark outside.

I wish we did. I *hate* standard time. Especially in the middle of winter when it's fvcking nighttime at 4:00

The sun should go down around 7ish.
