Dutch is not ze same as Deutsch, verdammt nochmal.
I realize Germany and Netherlands are different countries with different languages. (The dutch include some of my very favorite musicians like Anneke von Giersbergen, Floor Jansen, and the legendary Arjen Anthony Lucassen)
I liked the comic you linked, and It made me think of that scene from Casablanca.

The solution to this is:
Do not leave your Mama's basement all winter ... it's too cold out there anyhow 😵

Only time I like it is when I work night shift because it means an hour of OT. 😀 Not working it this year though. They have a new thing now where we call out someone on OT to change time on the DMS10 switches so I got lucky and did it last year but not this year. Before it was another dept that did it.

But yeah the time change thing is pointless.

it's dark before work and it's dark after work. Moving the clock by one hour is not going to change that nor is it going to somehow make the day longer. It does not save any energy. The period in which lights are required is the same.

George Bush could have been the best president ever if he had just abolished it. He had the power to move it, why not just abolish it altogether instead.

Can I just identify as someone that lives in an area that has no DST, and then not change my clock anymore? My workplace will need to accept the fact that I'll arrive late or leave early depending on the time of year. If they don't accept me how I am then they are literally hitler. 😛

pay attention to how many more shithead who will be driving with their car lights off after the sun goes down.

I wish headlights that were off was the only problem here, how about those assholes with those stupid blue HID lights. As soon as fall comes around and it's darker all the time all these assholes come out in droves. I feel like I get eye damage every time I drive because it's like looking at an arc welder flash whenever there is someone with those lights around. Seems there are more and more of them every year too. A new trend I noticed is blue strobing headlights. WTF is the point of that? And why is that not illegal?

I think we need to stick with it and not switch back. I'd love for it to be light outside at 9pm (without having to live near the poles). Let the sun come up at 9am. 😛

That's one thing I like about summer. Sun up by like 5am and sets at around 10pm. Super short lived though, rest of the year it's pretty much dark all the time.

When people refer to DST they typically refer to the idea of changing clocks around twice a year. I never really remember which is actually which, I just know that in the fall the go back and spring they go forward. 😛

I know, i was joking. I find Germany very interesting and have plans to see in the near future some way old(pre 1900) German history.

Ohh, are you going to visit an Amish or Mennonite community in the USA?

They are South German and Swiss folks who thought that they could be closer to god by living like it's the 16th century. I'm convinced that none of them have actually ever seen any gods or gotten any closer to them than anybody else, but, I do admire the work ethic and stubbornness.

It depends on certain factors and some are indeed illegal but sadly since some are legal they seem to never get pulled over and why I hate driving at night sometimes.
