Where to begin.. purchased one of their crap "super-g plus" routers about a year ago and have had it replaced four times since.. every time I call them their incompetent "technicians" go through the same clueless script, resulting in me updating the firmware after an hour long conversation (preceeded by an hour and a half of holding), only to find that THE FIRMWARE FCKING RENDERS THE ROUTER RETARDED (no kidding, this has happened on every single call I have made). On the last call one guy had the brilliant idea of giving me a beta firmware version, saying it fixes everything and my router will now be uber-fast. I tell him he's an idiot but upload the firmware anyway out of spite, and now the router drops connection literally every 3-4 minutes for about 2 sec at a time (pain in the ass) and wired connection simply does not work.

Yep. I love when you call "technicians" who obviously read from scripts and don't have a clue how it relates to the actual problem you're having. Happens all the time when I have to call the cable company regarding internet issues.
 
hmm, i have a dlink 604 router that is actaully fine. my friend also has the wireless 624 which is also fine. doesn't drop connections at all. but i've heard the NetGear and linksys are the best. i baught mine simply cause it was editor's choice on pcmag.
 
I've actually had pretty good luck with D-Link wired & wireless networking equipment, although in fairness I never owned one the the "Super-G" models... the only wireless routers I've had major problems with were the old Microsoft-labeled crap & Motorola.

 
gf has a G one, and the house I was sharing with my friends had the 624. Both were POS and I replaced the one in my house with an SMC. When a B router gives off a better signal than a super G router, then you know you have problems.
