css is such a pain in the ass IMO. especially when it comes to relative positioning and floating things around.. heh.

Totally. Tables 4evar f00.

Plus, I've found that CSS seems to have issues with websites that utilize nasty repeating brick backgrounds... 😛

yeah i'd been messing with it a little, i did get it working basically, but i couldn't figure out how to do comments so i just messed with the spelling...

btw, someone mentioned floating, what's that?

and daniel1113, are you talking about my background? i don't even like backgrounds, but the guy i'm doing it for INSISTS...

Well, it's your job to do what he wants... no matter how early 90's it may be... hehe.

As for the specific CSS issues, I can't help you much, since I only use CSS for website-wide formatting. Sorry.

With the types of problems you're having with CSS I'm not surprised you can't figure it out. Just turn off the computer and find a different hobby. Obviously the intarweb is too complicated for you.

well, mister high and mighty. i am willing to bet you only say that because you don't know the answer. i've also already mentioned that it's sloppy right now because i was playing with things.

something else tells me that i already know more about the 'intraweb' than you will know in a million years. i have two words for you, they both start with F and one of them is Flaming.

Actually there isn't anything wrong with CSS. The browsers are to blame for the sloppy renderings (IE anyone?)

I'm done fighting browser compatibility issues. I use css for text formatting, lists, and a couple of other things. Other than that, I design using tables. Once someone convinces me that full css 1 and 2 is compatible in 99.9% of user browsers (this will never happen any time soon), then I'll convert to strict css design.

You need to try decaf or something. kbirger is new here... post count of 27 right now. If you can't offer advice in a civil manner, kindly refrain from posting.

Probably the best place to ask the original question would have been the Software forum.

thanks for the defense i think, but i don't think my posts have much to do with it, i just don't recall asking for career advice.
