all of the time. if you have some sort of problem with colors that is not genetic, it's not color deficiency and I frankly don't believe such a thing exists. I have color deficiency.
🙁
oh and well let me correct that: other causes of deficiency could be brain damage or optic nerve damage, but it's always some sort of damage that really cannot be repaired through natural methods available at the moment. large strides must be taken in medical research.
I can see blue just fine, my red/green is where my eyes are screwed up. I'll see blue, and sometimes have to ask what color it is, because I secretly fear that it is purple and that my eyes are not seeing the red in it. But it typically is blue when I ask. But then, in lighting conditions that are not ideal, I'll think black is sometimes blue or blue is black. My color vision at night is royally fucked up. lmao
but i'll mix up yellow and green, brown and green, brown and red, pink and gray (light pink will sometimes appear gray), purple and red, and purple with blue. yea, it sucks, but mine are only certain shades. 'pure' colors in each category will appear correct, at least under the proper lighting conditions, which isn't always available. for example, once bought a shirt thinking it was white with red stripes, but due to lackluster lighting in the store, I was confused as it ended up being darker green stripes.
🙁
as far as correction of this ailment, well hope that gene therapy is realized sometime soon, after working with stem cells. maybe they can repair the damaged areas of the eye that cause this condition at that point.
