Poorly calibrated ones that is. I'm at work and I head to the mens room. I enter the stall with urgent business to attend to. While I fumble with my belt and drop trousers, the toilet flushes twice. I pull one of the toilet seat wax paper protectors out of the holder. As I place it on the seat and align it, the damn thing flushes again and sucks the newly placed seat down. I place a total of 3 seats before I am able to sit down. Finally! As I'm in the middle of laying a cable, the damn thing flushes with me on top of it. I hear the mechanism begin the flush and I stand up as quickly as possible so the flush doesnt splash poo water all over my naked ass. I realize that I have a tail attached so I'm forced to hover a few inches above the seat until it finishes flushing. Wtf. While I appreciated the toilet vacuum suctioning the log out of my ass, it was not needed and I can push my turds out on my own thanks. In all, the damn toilet must have flushed about 12 times before I exited the stall.

On the same note, I don't like auto flush urinals but automatic sinks are ok with me.

I put a paper towel over the sensor when they are over zealous.

We have automatic ones here at work, never have had one that poorly calibrated. Sounds like someone there needs to check with their installer.

lol, excellent!

ours sometimes flush randomly and other times don't flush when they should, but overall they aren't that bad. uncivilized maroons that piss everywhere are much more annoying.

Does the sensor look like one of these?

If so, then my dad designed the original circuit and sensor, and his company built I can't tell you how many of the first sensor boards for Waterbury back many years ago. Then Waterbury decided to have them built in China instead, so now you know why you have a problem.
