brab, part of the reason I think you were having issues is because you had an Nvidia card. Your problem was solved after you ran DriverCleaner Pro, which means that somewhere you had a driver confliction going on that may or may not have been contributing to your refresh rate changes. When going from Nvidia hardware to ATI hardware or vice versa you need to run a DriverCleaner program or reformat to ensure you don't have a problem like the one this thread is about. If the ATI company was soley responsible for that kind of a glitch, don't you think it would be a more common problem being discussed here in the forums?
LOUISSSSS, I'm with ya on the whole not knowing something and then blaming the manufacturer thing, but I think you could have done it a little less blunt. Not knowing what is causing a problem with new hardware can be very frustrating for some people and they sometimes can overreact and exagerate. If you would have read into the thread a couple posts, you would have seen that brab already got a little flak for his initial claim and he clarified it well I think.
