Yet another April 1st is upon us. The day that everyone goes out of their way to fvck with someone. My favorite websites (besides AT forums) are all in on it:

Fark.com: Running everyone's posts through a dialectizing filter. Not funny.
Slashdot: They've stopped posting real news altogether, instead posting old jokes.
APOD: Instead of an informative pic, they post a photoshopped picture of the moon as "proof" that it's made out of cheese.
Freshmeat.net: An Xbox theme and a name change: Freshmeat.NET (as in ms's .NET)

Not to mention the legitimate.news.site@123.23.13.124/hoax.html links that are showing up EVERYWHERE.

The only day I hate more than April Fools Day is... oh fvck it, there is no worse day! :|

The thing I hate is the dumphuck anandtech moderator who got rid of my post in Hot deals that everybody else in the world thought was funny.

IN GENERAL, in the US, in those places that observe DST:
# DST begins at 2am on the first Sunday in April
# DST ends at 2am on the last Sunday in October

living in Arizona we don't change our clocks at all. they instituted it because all the old retirees can't figure out how to reset their 30 clocks. 😉

i think april fools day is stupid...but valentines is worse.
 
I pulled a pretty bad April Fools joke today.
I had a friend call another one of my friends and tell her that I was in a bad motorcycle accident last night. He told her that I was in pretty bad shape, but that I was expected to live. She was all freaked out and crying at work.

I had to show up to work early to make sure it didn't get to out of hand.

I'm still LMAO.

I hate this cursed day also. Here in Iraq, it is illegal and we chase down offenders and beat them with sticks.

i was checking vcdquality last night and saw they had screen caps for a Star Wars Episode 2 vcd release. I almost crapped my pants and went looking for the damn sucker verywhere i could think of.

Turned out to be an april fools joke. Bastards.
 
I set my roomate up this morning while he was in the shower, I haven't talked to him yet to see if he fell for it or not.

I left a messege on his desk saying "Mr Lyon" called and left the number for the city zoo. I guess the zoo gets a ton of calls on April 1st like that 😀
 
I mapped "rundll32 user32.dll,LockWorkStation" to a shortcut and put a misleading icon on it on my co-workers' machines 😀.

That is so not funny. A prank is one thing, but when it causes the anguish of another then it's out of line.
 
I hate it because all the people in Hot Deals are trying to pull pranks and I can't stand it!!!! I really think they are awesome deals and not jokes!!! :|
 
I'm not a fan of Aprils Fools day at all.. Simply put, stupid little pranks strike me as imature and not amusing. I'm not the kind of guy who gets his jollies off embarrasing or screwing with other people. If I want to do something funny I'll listen to Carlin. I guess I just have a different sense of humor, to each their own.
 
It was all fun and games until a girl I know tricked me into filling this out.......
