People still buy black market weed in Colorado, FWIW. But I imagine the convenience of just going to a retail location can often outweigh the sometimes unreliable method of going through a dealer.
It's pretty much legal 10 feet from me today. It was ...pretty much legal all the years I was living in CA, now it is even "more legal" after I moved away from there. It is still nothing like Canada, but for the most part, the reality on the ground is that in the US, it has been more or less tolerated to the point of legality. You can walk into one of several stores in a handful of states and buy it, legally, walk out and no po-po beats you up, unlike what our untraveled friend, ecureuil rogue, seems to want to believe from "some stuff he read."
...point being, all of that being true, and being true in these places that I have lived and still live, I can still only bring myself to buy it from a friend of a friend, only when speaking some sort of code over the phone, ...because that's the way I like it, lol. There is just something completely
classless about walking into a store and buying the bud. I want my secret, "woke" club to remain that way--not be overtaken by some hipsters trying to "educate" me on the proper dosing of some THC gummy oil, considering how I was taking bong hits back when they were learning that the cow says "mmooooooo!"
That being said, it
should be completely, fully, totally legal in the US.
