I hate Abit. Someone please recommend another motherboard...

I guess everyone's experiences differ. Yes, ASUS did indeed include a sheet of paper telling me there was zilch wrong with my motherboard. I forget the exact wording, something along the lines of "no repairs needed."

And for what it's worth, the A8N32-SLI Deluxe has better reviews on NewEgg than the A8N-SLI Premium. I don't really see what the difference is between the two, though.. they seem identical except the Deluxe supports x16. I probably need this for my 7900GT.

Another chime in for the Asus A8N-SLI Premium, though maybe you've already purchased. You'll be happy with either - A8N32 Deluxe of A8N-SLI Premium. I hear the Premium is a better overclocker, if that matters. Mine has been rock solid since it went together in February. 24/7 folding and no issues.

And on the subject of the A8N32 vs. the A8N-SLI Premium, is there any reason to spend the extra $$$ considering the current crop of video cards won't saturate the bandwidth in SLI at x8 for each PCI-E slot? From what I've heard, anyway...

A guy I know near me that I talked to at a computer show/sale told me that when he RMAd a DFI board they detailed the issues with the board causing the problems. I forget exactly what it ended up being though. He could have been a liar too for all I know.

I've a strong suspicion that a 7950GX2 will ...

I just have to ask... do you have the nvidia ide drivers installed?

I know they have been known to cause all sorts of file corruption with some people's systems.

Anyways I've been perfectly happy with my AN8-ultra.

No, I did not install the Nvidia IDE drivers when I reformatted..and it still had the same issues. It's a hardware problem.
