there are no missing commas there. unless you think it should be 'my uncle, jack, ...' which would be technically correct but is not necessary as 'uncle jack' can be considered one single moniker.

It would be necessary to omit the commas if he has more than one uncle. Without the commas, you're clarifying which of his uncles he helped. If commas surround the name Jack, then the name is not necessary and could be removed from the sentence -as if he only had one uncle.
