Oh i was wondering if you had vision problems in yoru affected eye because of how long its been deviated. A lot of people w/ eye deviations end up overcompensating with their good eye to the poiint where theres basically no vision left in the bad eye.

Nope - I could / can use either one just fine. Whichever one I didn't have 'active' would be the one that turned in.

Hmm for whatever reason I always thought you were asian...

I had no idea such a surgery was even possible. The results look good, I hope the recovery goes well for you

Better blood 'n' stuff pic:

My eyelids still seem heavy and my pupils are massive..really hoping the dilation wears off soon.

Probably going to be bloody for a week or so, I think...but I am looking forward to when it's better 😀

You look pretty badass in that pic. Make your normal eye look like that too and no one will fuck with you.

I could have, if I had surgery done on both eyes.. 😛

I'm debating on sunglasses-inside when I go to the store/etc, or if I should just scare the piss out of people 😱

I vote that you wear your gun (without the full uni) and scare the crap out of them.

less of a druggie look now? 😛

I'll post another pic in a day or two...I'm guessing my eye will be bloody for a week or two? If I remember, I will ask the doc on Thursday.

Based on this pic...and the one with the "bloody eye," you should go into narcotics...you don't really look like a cop.

I suspect you'd do well in that department.

I have a terrible poker face though...not sure I could pull it off. But yeah, I don't have the stereotypical cop-look.

did you ever see that chiropractor i referred you to? your posture still looks like it needs work.

are you kidding? are you sure it wasn't like "i can't help you"? because there's no way that posture is fine.

He recommended I go to some orthotics place and buy stuff. He also told me to come in repeatedly for adjustments even if I felt fine...which turned me off. I'm going back to my regular guy.

Ha wear your uniform too, people gonna think you're a resident evil* zombie:

*that's the movie with a ton of zombie cops, right?

the way you feel is not a good barometer of health or proper posture. you can feel great... your posture still needs help, though. it doesn't get fixed after just one adjustment. it takes work on his part and yours... otherwise, you're going to degenerate a LOT faster as you get older and you're gonna kick yourself for not getting it treated when you had the chance.

Well I am wearing glasses so I now have corrected vision in both eyes. I don't have any double vision and I seem to be seeing just fine, but for some reason I feel oddly unbalanced. This is really weird.

That would be because your brain has to re-balance itself since you are now looking straight ahead like you should. Plus you are probably seeing clearer than you ever did before. Should pass after a day or two.

My eyes aren't focusing together, though - I can still switch independently between left and right...

Hmmm well then you got me. I'm just an ER nurse 😛 Maybe it's your brain trying to stop you from independently focusing. Or your eyes could just be tired. I know when my eyes are tired I get that weird dizzy/nauseated/unbalanced feeling sometimes.

Hmm I dunno. I have a follow up on Thursday, so I'll try to ask as many questions as I can.. 😛

I'm really hoping there's a chance that vision therapy will help my brain learn how to use them together - going to seriously pursue that after the muscles are healed.
