I had my first headache in YEARS yesterday

Sure, I've had pressure when it rains and stuff, but no full-on headache for several years. Until yesterday evening. And you will laugh once you find out why.

I went golfing. Yep. That's what caused it. Actually, it was my first time out golfing since June of LAST YEAR. And for some reason yesterday I got really really really pumped at the first tee. I had adrenaline going like I've never experienced. And the fact that I did well through my first 2 holes only furthered my adrenaline to the point that by the 4th hole I had trouble holding the club in front of me without shaking!!!

Anyways, I think it was all that in my body that led to the headache after the round.

So how did I do? I shot a 47 for 9 holes. Not too bad cause I've: A) not played for 11 months and B) have never broken 90.

2 little things about this round I want to share:

1st hole-- 399 yds straight. My tee shot was 242 friggin yards down the right side of the fairway. 2nd shot was 157 yards, flagstick tucked in a very difficult in the back and to the right of the green. My ball mark on the green was 10 - 12 feet from the hole, the ball coming to rest about 9 feet from the hole. INSANE. 🙂 Chipped and 2 putted for a bogey 🙁

2nd hole -- good tee shot on this hole leading to 140 or so to the hole. Opted for 7iron where I would usually opt for 6 iron just because I was so pumped up. I was too much pumped up. Overshot the green by 15 yards! I guess I should have tried a 9iron...anyways, I got up and down and got my first par of the year 🙂🙂

w00t!

So I guess my question is: Is it normal to get a headache as a result of adrenaline rushes for extended periods of time?

You got that pumped up over golf?

I hadn't played for 11 months and was just loving the fact that I was finally out on the course. Got super pumped after my much-longer-than-normal opening tee shot.

could have been from squinting so much if you were playing in the sun?

oh - and on that first hole...hit down on the ball for some spin.

😉

A better question is: Is it normal to get adrenaline rushes from playing golf?

nah...hitting a three wood 240 yards to pull within 3 feet for a guarnteed eagle gave me a pretty good rush. Every good shot I hit is a rush.
