I had my eyes checked are they really that bad?

Ive had glasses for about 1 year now and i just got tested by my school yesterday.

It came to 20/40 20/60, which isnt perfect

i dont wear my glasses anymore because the optomertrist (sp?) made me see everything smaller then it actually is.

I dont know if that is bad or not but it hurt my eyes after a while when i would wear them.

so should i be really concerned about my vision? Im going to ask my mom to make an appointment again but should i really worry? Is it really bad or not perfect?

Repost!

Yeah, your eyes can change a lot while you're growing. They usually stop changing after you stop growing until you get really old.

your vision isn't really that bad. but your eyes are going to hurt from glasses at first. i know when i finally got glasses my eyes would hurt after only a little while. but i continued to wear them until they hurt and took them and eventually you get used to them. it is hard at first. i guess as long as you can pass the eye test at the DMV and you can do everything fine without them, i wouldn't worry about it for now. but they are probably going to get worse.

20/40 and 20/60 isn't perfect vision, but you are not very badly nearsighted. If you are capable of functioning well without wearing glasses, I suggest that you go without.

Remember to take the glasses with you when you go for your driver's exam, though. 😉

20/60 is pretty bad, but 20/40 is ok I guess.
As long as you have one eye at least 20/40 you're ok, but you should still get glasses

your eyes are not that bad.

and yes getting used to glasses can be hard. I got used to mine real quick when I had to have them to pass the DMV test. 😉

I recommend to the contrary. I've very similar myopia, and I had the same problem getting used to my glasses for about a week and a half. After that, I really preferred having my glasses on indefinitely.
