I had LASIK surgery yesterday!!

Congrats. I was thinking on LASIK too, but I'm not old enough. I heard you had to be atleast 18 for doctors to even consider it and I'm only 16.

I'm an hour and a half north of Seattle on Whidbey Island, WA and people are flocking to Vancouver, BC to have eye surgery done. $1200.00 US for two people to have two eyes done.

Man I'd really be weary of bargain deals! If I bring a coupon I"m not trusting the doc completely. "Hi everybody!, Hi Doctor Nick!!"

So am I the only person who doesnt really mind his glasses that much? I look much better with them on, and they seldom get in the way or slip, etc.

Yes your eyes do fall out after 10 years, just look at good ol Flanders and look at what happened to Todd and Rod!!!! hilarious!.

im glad u like it. How old are u? someone told me u had to be over 25 to get this procedure done, because your eye changes too much until that age. i think this lasik improved in past 5 years. This procedure lifts the outer shell of your eye and uses laser to burn your lens to make it thinner and put the cover back on, thus there are less exposed area and recovery is rather quick. Before they used to cut out the outer shell part and cut the lens with sugical tools having inaccurate (not as accurate with laser) depth. and your eye had to regrow that outer shall over so there was much longer Recovery time with more problems with pain and infections. Well, that's about all i know. Oh any by the way i've heard it's getting cheaper like $1000 per eye.

I have question for u, did docotor say anything about people with really bad eye sight? ive heard this surgery can't be done on ppl with really bad eye sight. (imnot sure of my sight measurements of now) thanx.

Being that Vancouver is so cheap with LASIK and PRK i'm still amazed at myself for not doing it .... yet.
