You guys all have NORMAL dreams. Here are three dreams I've had in the past week.
I was in a medical research building, in some division where no visitors could come. Several other people and I were involved in some sort of brain research?as subjects. We were still in our bodies, but we?d be hooked into some machine that would make our minds able to wander around. Presumably they?d do research that way, but one other thing they liked to do (I never saw ?them?, but I knew they must exist) was fights. There would be a squarish ?board? that seemed to be made of paper, with little circles and such on it, like Chinese checkers. Two or more people would put their minds on a side of it, and they?d struggle and fight to take over the board. It was a painful, difficult, and fatal game. The loser would have their mind burned out of them in the process.
In this particular game, a friend of mine was on the left of the board, with someone else on top. They were struggling for all they were worth. I had put some money on my friend as part of an escape plan, and now I cheated a little, and threw my own efforts into the game on my friend?s behalf. He won, and I broke out of the room and ran out into the hallways. The place really screamed ?hospital??sterile corridors, perfectly clean, brand-new equipment of white plastic, fluorescent lighting. I ran into a little room where there were snack machines, and placed my credit chit on the reader. ?250,000,? the computer flashed. I had struck quite a blow to the place. I was ready to finalize my escape and start my new life now. I bought a small snack, and left the facility.
A sympathetic alien (as in, extraterrestrial) allowed me to stay a few days at their apartment, which gave me a chance to hide out and recoup. But I don?t know what was next on the agenda, for then I woke up.
I don?t remember much of the next dream. I was in a large building, somewhat like my old elementary school building, but much bigger. There were several stories, with rooms all along the walls, and a large opening in the center that looked down over a patio of sorts. There were all sorts of people hanging from the ceilings, upside-down. Only their torsos were showing. It was really creepy. Then, they started opening their eyes, and to my horror, crawling out of the torsos. Each of the heads had a snakelike body attached to it, which was curled up in the torso. They started crawling along the ceilings and advancing on me, with the light hissing of their passage an oppressive and intimidating sound in my ears. I might have jumped out over the patio then, but I woke quickly.
The final dream was lighter in note, but no less strange. I was a police officer, and I was with a few others in a junkyard of sorts, off the back of the station. There were a number of old, rusty vehicles there. A helicopter. An old jeep. A couple cars. A few motorcycles. I needed to get one of them into working order to start off somewhere, though where I had no idea yet. I did manage to muck around with one motorcycle enough for it to come to life after a few good kicks. I set off, my friends waving at me.
I think I rode from Washington to the Midwest then, but my dream seemed to fast-forward through that until I was in Illinois or Indiana. I had stopped at a little shop, and was in the parking lot outside (come to think of it, it could even have been a donut place, heh). This was a very typical Midwestern town. There was some sort of disturbance?a car screeched off in a hurry, and I nailed another car with my motorcycle to keep it from running off?and before I knew it, I was surrounded by a circle of people. I started to reassure and explain things to them, taking charge of the situation as best I could.
And woke up again.
