Sweet :D, I won't lie, I'm jealous. You've gotta take some shots of your HD collection on your setup, and maybe compare to how it looks through your cable box. I'm using a display at 2650x1600 for my HD setup, but I'd imagine that having a screen that's the native resolution of HD makes it look significantly better.

Nice setup. Do you have anything for AV input? I don't see a TV tuner or anything...

-PC is currently via HDMI, used to be via VGA
-TV has one set of component cables goign to it.
-Using my onkyo reciever to do component switchign between the DVD player and the comcast 8300HD DVR :D
-HD box is uing component and coax digital out
-DVD player is using component and optical digital out
-PC used to use 5.1 analog out (audigy2zs) but with this pc it will use straigh spd/if

Hopefully I can buy a copy of MCE2005 and use firewire to pull shows off of the box:D

does your tv frame lock or can you only get 60hz?

tv needs 59.xx to output correctly, but will accept 60hz @ 1920x1080.
It has a predefined reresh rate/resolution set that cannot be modified.

dude....I can't even get it to fit completely on the TV at any rez:p I just installed windows and the standard ATI drivers:p

I have to use powerstrip or something to fix the overscan.....assuming that my TV accept 1080p over HDMI (it should)

Wow, looks really nice. I'm thinking about building one to go with a Sony 42" KDF-E42A10. How much did this cost you?

I only get a few channels in HDTV (mostly NBC, ABC, CBS) right now, but I'd like to have the options to record more. I'm more interested in the ability to watch other HD divx shows, though getting tivoesque functionality back would be kinda cool.

Where should I start? I was looking at the mac mini just based on how cool it looks and ease of use, but I think I want some more functionality out of it.

$2500, and as far as playign HD on a HTPC, make sure you havea fast Chip and a faster graphics card...h.264 hardware acceleration only means so much...
