So I went to a beer dinner last night where they pair different beers with food in some unlikely combinations.
Menu
We had the Stone somked porter with chipotle peppers, and it was one of the most interesting beers I've ever had. At first it tasted like a regular porter, had some nuttyness to it, along with some coffee, but nothing real strong. About 7 seconds after my first sip, the back of my throat lit up like a fireball, this stuff was hot. It wasn't the best beer I've ever had but it was certainly good, and paired amazingly well with the hangar steak we had.
Anyone else had any unusual beers like this?
