I had 500 bucks worth of stuff stolen from me tonight

I'm so pissed...I went to visit a friend, parked in front of her house, nice neighboorhood (or so I thought) - my Escort Passport 7500 was stolen as was ONLY THE FACEPLATE of my CD player. I have no idea how they got in, I can't imagine that I forgot to lock the doors, but nothing was broken so its possible..BASTARDS! Why would you take just the faceplate?!?!?! They also bent the antenna on my radio (WHY I HAVE NO CLUE?)..we are about to sell the car, so I was going to have the CD player removed, but I was going to sell it, and I was planning on keeping my trusty radar detector for a long time..

I lost my tower/monitor/couple cd cases/headphones that way too... left it in the car in a family housing place at a friends. The passenger door lock was popped off (pushed in?) or something, so here i am stuck with a p300 🙁
