We already know you have violent tendencies. You've expressed your desires to harm people around here on several occasions.

What a bunch of Nancy's! Three of them couldn't physically force one looney Hippie out of their house? Typical of most young men today who are Right Wingers, the Army doesn't need pussies like that.

Maybe this is an example of this persons "strength of his conviction"? Of course the down side is he's going to have another conviction on his record. ;)

Yeh, but mods do not like it when you use the names of other forum members.

Sounds like the rightwinger who was the violent one.

The argument got heated and the suspect learned that the young residents had not enlisted in the military and "put their all" behind the Republican-led war effort in Iraq, police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said.

Pretty sure the fella was a lefty; that fits the meme of "how can you support the war if you aren't willing to fight in it!"

Note the headline:

"Police say political dispute with stranger got physical
Man's Republican beliefs irritate suspect"

Sounds like you are probably right.

From the story at the OP's link:
The resident and his two roommates engaged in a discussion with the suspect, though none of them had ever met or had contact with him before.

The argument got heated and the suspect learned that the young residents had not enlisted in the military and "put their all" behind the Republican-led war effort in Iraq, police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said.

The suspect refused to leave the home after repeatedly being asked to do so, police said. The three roommates were hit multiple times each as they attempted to get the suspect out of the door, authorities said.
Is that violent enough, or did he need to bring out weapons?

So let me get this straight. The guy goes to their private property and gets into a heat debate and doesnt leave the property when the person living in the dwelling asks him to leave and the republicans are the violent ones?

I know the left has zero respect for private property but lets put the foot on the other shoe. Some whackjob comes to your home to discuss your song writing ability and you ask him to leave and he refuses. What do you do?

For reasons of silly liberals that cannot stand to hear other peoples opinion, this just reminded that I need to renew my NRA membership :)

I have a few firearms, if people started doing that in my house... its not going to look pretty...

"blahaahhahal... You people voted for Bush twice.. you need some sense knocked into you one way or another ... blabhahah!.. blahh.. blaahaha.."

bang!!!

ME: sorry officer.. I told him to leave.. but this darn hippie just kept on rattling off... not to mention threating me.

OFFICER: thats okay.. this hippies been harrassing other people too. Probably unemployeed and a pot head also.. good work citizen... besides, it probably saved me some work from kicking his assse at those anti-corporation rally's and those "withdraw now from Iraq" rally's...

:)

Actually, the article doesn't say what the stance of the suspect was. It specifically doesn't mention his side of the argument. Never mentions him as a liberal. Never says anything about his political affiliation. It's just as likely to assume that he was a Republican himself. Or he could have been a moderate or a libertarian or anything. You jump to conclusions in saying he was a liberal. Remember what they say about assuming ... well, you made an ass out of yourself though you failed to make one out of me.

actually, 11.5 million more people voted for bush in 2004 than 2000.

additionally, about 8 million more voted for kerry in 2004 than gore in 2000.

overall, about 17 million more votes were cast in 2004 than 2000. which is pretty amazing.
