Yes, let me go from using 4 of my 6mb in yahoo to using 4mb of my 1gb account on gmail. A public account that size is useless. Any big attachment will take hours to download. "1gb" - I'm sure they can have heads turn by offering 100mb or 200mb, aimlessly throwing "giga-this" and "giga-that" at consumers is just a pointless waste of resources on their part, with marginal if any gain for consumers.

Yeah, it's more of a marketing gimmick than anything else. Over 90% of GMail's users will never come close to using the Gig of storage that they're offering, but it still SOUNDS cool to have it available if you need it. Hell, even my Notes inbox at work never goes above 150 MB, and I'm constantly being swamped with messages filled with attachments. I could fit every message that I ever got in the past three and a half years in my GMail box, and still have 500 MB to spare.

Oh, yeah, one more thing.. PLEASE stop bugging me for GMail invites! I don't have any left! 🙂

hmm, can anyone provide an unemployed student a gmail account?
I'm switching ISPs too, so my e-mail keeps changing. Hard to keep a good working e-mail address in my resume...

My hotmail account is too full of spam to be usable anymore 🙁
