what you do is ok... tilt your head to the side. but tilt it on the side that the ear is good so that your ear with water in it is facing upwards. now get a cup of water and pour more water into that ear and jump up and down. check to see if this works. ive done this on numerous occassions and its worked all the time.

You can also make a solution of vinegar and water (half and half) and pour it into your ear and then drain it. This is a really good recipe for swimmer's ear.
If this is a common problem, keep a little eye dropper water bottle w/ rubbing alcohol in it. When you get water stuck in your ear, just dribble a few drops of the alcohol in the affected ear, let sit for a couple of seconds, then turn your head and let it drain out. 🙂
