Well yeah, lanparty, went to one, didn't have a computer. So I just plug in my x800xt and 1024 mb of ram into a server, didn't do any bios changes, hey, it booted. So after I finish and I had to leave, I turn it off, it does fine. So after I get home, they IM me saying, "OMFG YOU BUSTED OUR PSU, you owe a new stick of 512 mb and a new PSU". I'm thinking, WTF?! So then they tell me that their 450w psu (cheap brand name) with 25 amps overheated and busted their ram and psu, AFTER I left. So I'm wondering. Are they lying or something? Did a cap blow or something?

Wtf... Now I'm getting threats from them saying I owe em.

Edit:I wake up, I look on AIM, they say they are having a lanparty right now. I reply. Dude. I don't have a computer to use. "Its alright, we have a spare rig for you." That rig doesn't work when I went. So, afterwards, the guy says "you can use my server rig". I use it, and that's where the situation starts from above.

You brought a video card and RAM to a LAN party, but not a whole system? You're retarded.

Then what the hell were you doing at a LAN party? You need a computer for that, and unless you'd made special arrangements (in which case you should have made sure their PSU didn't suck a nut, which it apparently did) you f'd up.

First off, why would you go to a lan party without a computer? <---nm this one, you beat me to it. :D

Second, did they give you permission to use that server computer?

Third, if you never signed anything then changes are you don't have to pay crap, just don't go back there. :D

I think you need to tell them STFU. What are they going to do?

They are going to threaten me since they go to my school. yeah...

and yes, they said "yes you can use that computer". But I don't think they expected their psu to blow...

Course I wonder why they didn't say their mobo blew.

Hmmm, so you took your stuff out, put their stuff back in, and the PSU blew when they restarted it. Sounds like garbage to me. Don't pay. Wasn't your fault since you left and it was in working condition.
