one of my close friends has informed me that he has purchased four tickets to the show and guess who he's taking with him.
the last show the band will ever do is going to be in chicago at the metro which is the first place the band played publicy i think. for those of you who don't know the Metro is a small club on the north side of chicago. it's really small it only holds like a thousand people, maby less so you can imagin how psyched i am at seeing them at such a small venue i mean the stage is only like four feet off the ground and the best part? no barrier.....this is going to be awesome:D:):D:):Q

I think i'll use the ol' camera in the hat trick.....;)

but seriously i doubt that they will allow any sort of recording device.

and if you want to see them they are doing a show a week before that one at the allstate arena or the United center (both in chicago) I can't remember which. anyway they both seat several thousand people so....

you are a very lucky man....I got to see them for the 3rd time in Houston this past May, and they rocked just as much as ever.

A thousand seat club is "small"? If they were playing Schuba's, Phyllis', Elbo Room, then that would be a small club. (From Detroit, but been to many show in Oprahville. The Metro is comparable to St. Andrew's Hall in Detroit and the Odeon in Cleveland. (I've played the Odeon. Schweeeeet!)

The stage is about 5 feet out and they'll have a barrier with bouncers behind it for this show. Corgan's tight with Joe Shanahan, who books the Metro. Cheap Trick recorded a great live album, "Music For Hangovers", there and Uncle Fester played on "Mandecello" and Crackhead D'Arcy sang on "If You Want My Love" Cheap Trick RAWKS. Get this album.

I wish that Billy would put out the Machina II stuff commercially so I could have all those cool tunes in a non-crap sounding format. "Cash Car Star" is da JAM!!!

the metro is as small a club as the pumkins can feasably play. there was no barrier the last time i was there although i would imagine they'd put one up for the show....also i have in my possion a RIPPED copy of Machina II. as you may or may not know a limited number of vinyl LP's of machina II were given to personal friends of billy's. the local radio station here (Q101) has a copy and has mastered i think 20 something copys onto CD. they were giving them away on the radio a friend of mine (same friend)won a copy and made me a copy.....so there is a quality recording of that album.:D;)

If I were to guess, the SP themselves will probably be making a recording of that concert, and they probably wouldn't give a damn if someone brought in a minidisc recorder to boot the concert anyway. WHAT DO THEY CARE ANYMORE?? They have already screamed FSCK OFF to any record company they ever were associated with, and they are just playing these last two shows for the fans' enjoyment.

But anyway, congrats to all those who got tickets. I'm stranded in Nashville, so I don't have a ghost of a chance of going to the show. However, if some kind show wants to make a boot and send it my way, I would be much obliged ;)
