Good luck with the new job!! Prepare to be bored and watch out or you'll go cross-eyed!
I am a Senior Accountant. We don't have any Jr Accountants here, it goes from Accountant to Sr. Accountant.

Took them one month to call back huh?

I had my first interview on Sept 28th, my 2nd last tuesday, and now I got the job. So it's been 2 weeks from submitting my resume to job.

Did your pay suffer much switching over to a new career track?

well, previously I was the drive announcer at a radio station. 🙂 So, I'm completely out of my previously field.

I took a $3/hr hit to change careers, but I think I was close to the max pay at that station, while in public practice, the earnings potential is way, way higher. (unless I would have become the next Ryan Seacrest or some such thing).

And, I'm sure I'll be back to my previous wage once I've proven myself in this field.

Now you are stuck in this world, FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11one111one

Peanuts. 🙂

$20k/year + benefits, and they pay for the rest of my schooling. Though from what I understand from talking to other ppl that work there, they advance you quite quickly, so I'm not too worried about the starting wage. I have no experience, so the level of remuneration is what I expected.

well done mate, welcome to the world of accounting. Now try to gear yourself towards financials and then finance. more lively, moremoeny, and more upward mobility.
