Ordered a substantial amount of kit from an online retailer and the order got split and delayed over a weekend. The second consignment came in two boxes...each with exactly the same kit in them :D

Checked with my bank and it appears I have not been charged for double quantity. I'm currntly sitting on them for a couple of weeks to see if they notice...

First time this has happened to me. I had a good hearty laugh when I opened the second box, as I was pissed that I had paid for priority delivery. Suddenly that seemed insignificant!

What would you do?

If you had any morals, you'd return it. If you don't, then you'll be added to many people's DNT lists as well as mine :)
Do the right thing.

NICE! Don't call them! It is WAAAAY more hassel than what it's worth. Usually, the customer support person will get all pissed because they have no idea what you mean, then they get confused and make you ship it back. Just keep it!

Good Joke.

I wasn't joking. It's the right thing to do. I would not have paid for it, and I have no desire to own what is not mine, regardless if it were error or not. If they (unlikely I admit) say "keep it", then I have permission and I say "Thank you"

I have heard character defined as doing what's right when no one is looking. Your choice is simple. Decide which is most important to you then keep one.

It's your choice.

I didn't ask for agreement or suggestions as to what to do. The question is 'what would YOU do?'

Comprehend much?

I'm quite content with my actions in this case. I like how you turn the scenario into a way to question my character though.

FYI. I DID put a note on my account regarding the order, but they canceled it with a reply stating I shoul call them. The number has been switched off due to demand. I had the telephone company double check the line, too. I say if they don't want to talk, how can I send anything back?

I far as I see it, it's tough sh!t, but in this situation, not on the consumer as is often the case.

I really don't care what you say or do. It's your choice. You choose what to do. I admit I have high standards for myself.

You asked a question, I gave a response and a reason. You can provide a justification for another course of action or not as you wish. What does it matter what other's think of what you do anyway?
