The funny thing is that she said no without actually saying no. She just changed the subject like nothing happened!!! Lol, and I was pretty damn straightforward! And I know she used to like me before too -- her best friend told me that.
I got rejected yesterday. She started being friendlier to me recently, but I guess she just wants to be friends with me.
I was straightforward with her and she was forthright with me. I appreciated that.
It was actually kind of liberating. My world didn't collapse after I crashed and burned. Life goes on. Of course my ego is a bit bruised, but it'll heal. It was only a date. It's not anything like a tragic breakup of a long relationship.
I have to decide, though, how I want to relate to her in the future because we'll be running into each other occasionally. She invited me to dinner with her and some mutual friends next week.

Don't worry...if you ever bring it up again, she'll be straightforward and say you disrespected her or something...
<< "No, I will *not* make out with you! What are you talking about?" >>
Yeah thanks Billy Madison (adam sandler for those of you who are uneducated ) >>
Um, that was from the Waterboy, not billy madison. >>
Pretty sure that was Billy Madison. When he got to 9th grade. The class room scene. Not waterboy, you know...when he was shy and he mom told him that girls were the devil.
Sorry about the rejection. I'm more familar with being dumped than rejected though.

Bah. That means nothing. A best friend once told me they liked me, and when I didn't do anything, insisted and convinced me to ask them to a movie. I didn't exactly get rejected, I just got ditched and then rejected later. Oh well.
<< Bah...don't feel bad. Whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger. >>
My life's motto!
nik (reminding you that pain is merely weakness leaving the body)
P.S. Live it up, boy. Feel as bad about it as you can. Then, when you realize that she wasn't good enough for you anyway, you're going to feel that much better about yourself.
