I got my own office!!

Window or no window (although having a window is awesome), having your own office is awesome. My office had 2 entire walls being window, and it was surreal being comfy and warm inside when there's a huge blizzard outside and you can't see anything but snow.

Congrats!

I think I was happier on the day I moved from a cube to an office than I was on any of the days when I received a raise (and I've had some pretty decent raises.)

I have always had offices with windows. The question was always what my view would be:

1. Facing North towards North San Fernando Valley (10th floor);
2. Facing West towards Palm Springs mountains (2nd floor);
3. Lakers' Victory Parade Route, Downtown LA (all three years)(5th floor);
4. Facing North towards North San Fernando Valley (15th floor);
5. Facing East towards East San Fernando Valley (6th floor);
6. Facing East towards Westwood and the 405 Freeway (10th floor).

My office/view at the company I interned for was better than my post-graduation job office/view. When I was an intern, I had a large cubicle with a view of the Baltimore city skyline from the highest elevation point in Baltimore. Now, I have no view, my cubicle is smaller....but I get paid more.

My office is 26x32 (roughly..used the ceiling tile method of measurement).

However... it's smack in the middle of the building (i.e. no windows) and doubles as a storage closet.

Nothing here but me and equipment... lots of equipment.

It is quiet though... and it's almost like the begining of Get Smart to get in here... so I won't complain.. too much. 😛
