And GT, I understand your sentiment. I like the turbo since its easier to get more power out of it. 6 speed would be nice tho:) The way things are looking tho I doubt I'll be getting one next spring.

Yeah, but I am definitely enjoying it. IMHO the Mazda 3 is one of the slickest new cars on the road right now(definitely the nicest compact). I love it. 19 is about what my friend payed for his Civic Si also...

Well, speaking as a Honda fanboi, I will say that I wouldn't touch a Si since its overpriced and SLOW!

When looking for cargo space + fun to drive it beats the competitors :)

it handles like a dream too, the fun to drive factor is definitely HIGH.

Awww. Poor Skoorbie. I bet he thinks everyone is buying a Mazda 3 but him :(

It's okay, Skoorbie. I'm sure most of us would trade a Mazda 3 for the likes of MrsSkoorb any day :p

Well, when it comes to insurance, the real question is, how old are you?

Saw a kid from high school with a silver one last night - wasn't the 5-door, which I don't really like, but it looked really sweet! :D

Wow. I'm 22, living in Phoenix, AZ and have a perfect driving record. My insurance works out to almost $160 a month.
