he's been missing for the last two years, we thought for sure he had been killed or something, someone i knew called me and said he was at some tweaker's house on south side...i went over there and sure enough it was him, so i informed him i was taking chico whether he liked it or not...he didn't like it but i took him anyway...now i'm gonna take him to the vet for a checkup in a few minutes

it doesn't look like they've been treating him well at all 😡

he's got some scars and bite marks on his head and neck, he's kinda skinny, and stinks and is covered with fleas

he's also been acting kinda funny, really skittish of cars and people, and he didn't used to be like that at all...really outgoing and friendly, you know?

he's starting to act a little more normal after being with me for the last 15 hours...i figure he'll probably be ok within a few weeks

he still listens really well, though 🙂

i can't wait to get some good pictures of him(after he's looking a little better, of course) to send my brother in prison...he's gonna be really excited to hear his dog is back 🙂

Glad to heard you were able to get the dog back though, sounds like he'll have a better life now.

I remember my cat leaving the house and we kept waiting for it to come back. Eventually we assumed he had died, or found a new home. Six or so months later, he returns a fatass. Then he dies. Awesome.

the USA seems so ridiculously harsh on people who break the law.

for doing that in Australia, he'd probably get a suspended sentence and never have to go to jail at all. if he didn't reoffend for a certain amount of time, he not not even be "convicted" and wouldn't get a criminal record, either.

Good news on the dog, tho. Will you ever let him out of the house again? I wonder if he has been abused? Why would he be skittish? Does he seem to remember you? Have you been feeding him up with special treats?

you have to ask yourself why the law is so harsh. That long of a sentence is not serving justice or rehabilitation. There is no SANE relationship between the severity of the "crime" and the severity of the punishment. My guess is that politicans have imposed increasingly severe minimum or mandatory sentences (for what are, in essence, trivial offences) to pander to the "law and order" voters.. Then they can say, "look what I did, threw kids in jail for half a lifetime for owning an illegal fire arm". Idiot voters lap it up.

i would imagine because he's been mistreated

oh yeah, he remembers me....the guy tried to stop me from taking him and he almost got latched onto his leg, i had to pull him off 😀

i'm feeding him as much canned dog food as he wants to eat to try to get some of his weight back...i just got back from the vet, he only weighs 54 lbs now...he used to weigh closer to 90

I may be simply confused here but...he has 4+ years for two gun charges that he purchased "legally" in another state.

Something doesn't seem right...did he get busted while USING them? Did he have drugs on him when he was busted? What REALLY happened?
